Generous Giving

Our Rotary club has exemplified the spirit of generosity, making a meaningful impact locally and globally, especially in the last decade (2014 - 2024).

Supported by personal donations and community fundraisers, we have contributed more than $250,000 to support vital causes, from community initiatives that uplift our neighbors to international projects that bring hope and opportunity to those in need.

Additionally, through our dedicated Eden Prairie Rotary Foundation, we have donated over $50,000 to extend our reach further and support critical programs. These contributions have been amplified by matching funds from Rotary District 5950 and Rotary International, multiplying the impact of our giving and enabling us to make an even greater difference in our local community and worldwide.

Onward House

October 2024

There are young adults in our community who don’t have a safe place to sleep at night. They are couch-surfing, living in cars and staying in unsafe places. They are trying to hide their homelessness. But Onward sees them. And Onward is responding by creating safe, affordable, transitional, supportive housing in the southwest suburbs. No one else is doing this for this segment of the market — single adults age18 - 24 who do not have children.

In October 2024 our club donated $5,000 to Onward.

Club members and friends each took a couple bags to keep in their vehicles so the bags can be distributed to people in need.

PolioPlus is the most ambitious program in Rotary’s history. In the Global Polio Eradication Initiative it is the volunteer arm. Rotary has led the private sector to rid the world of this crippling disease for over 30 years. PolioPlus is recognized worldwide as a model of public-private cooperation in pursuit of a humanitarian goal.

The Eden Prairie Noon Rotary Club has made annual grants to the PolioPlus for many years.  This year a gift of $2,000 was given.

Bravo Zulu House

September, 2024, Update

Did you know that 22 Veterans commit suicide in this country every day . . . mostly due to PTSD and addiction? That is why Eden Prairie Noon Rotary Club (EPNR) has joined the “War Against PTSD” by supporting Bravo Zulu House – the FIRST and ONLY all-Veteran sober living facility in the U.S. focusing on PTSD therapy being built in Winnebago, MN. In addition to PTSD therapy, Bravo Zulu House will offer private rooms, individualized spiritual counseling, hydroponic farming and dog therapy.

Eden Prairie Noon Rotary has taken the lead to purchase a wheelchair lift so that no Veteran is turned away because of a handicap that was very likely caused by their service. In addition to a $10,000 donation from EPNR, the funding includes donations from 5 other Rotary Clubs, 4 individuals and a Rotary Foundation District Grant.
