We're pouring good brews for a great cause in an afternoon full of rhythm, stories, and Rotary spirit in recognition of World Polio Day. 

Live music by Paul Nelson—joined by family and friends—to keep your toes tapping and your heart inspired.  From timeless folk tunes to country classics, pop, and irresistible sing-alongs.

2025 Event Summary

Thank you for showing up and showing heart at Pints for Polio with Paul Co! Together, we raised $1,900, and with our club’s match, we’re proud to contribute a total of $4,000 toward the global effort to eradicate polio.
Special thanks to Paul Nelson, his family, and friends for an unforgettable afternoon of music, and to Boom Island Brewing for the perfect venue and brews.
Every pint poured and every note played brought us closer to a polio-free world. Here's to community, compassion, and the power of Rotary!

Pints with a purpose

Your presence isn't just about raising a glass—it’s about raising hope by turning awareness into action and helping to protect future generations from polio.

  • Boom Island Brewery will donate $1 for each beer purchased to The Rotary Foundation’s polio eradication campaign. Beers/Beverages available.
  • Flight for the Fight!  Sip with purpose—grab a flight of four 5oz pours for just $20, and $8 goes straight to the fight to end polio. Purchase your pour selection card from the Pints for Polio table, select your beers, redeem at the bar, and toast to making a difference!
  • Meat Raffle: Held every hour at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30 PM. Winnings can be frozen until you’re ready to leave.
  • Make a donation - Double your impact! The Eden Prairie Noon Rotary Club is stepping up with a generous match—we’ll contribute up to $1,500 in matched donations during Pints for Polio!  That means every dollar you give goes twice as far toward eradicating polio around the globe.

Flight for the Fight

Rotary's Global Polio Eradication Initiative

 
PolioPlus is the most ambitious program in Rotary’s history. In the Global Polio Eradication Initiative it is the volunteer arm. Rotary has led the private sector to rid the world of this crippling disease for over 30 years. PolioPlus is recognized worldwide as a model of public-private cooperation in pursuit of a humanitarian goal.

Over $1 Billion US

Rotary has contributed to eradicating Polio.

Over 2 Billion Children

has received the oral polio vaccine since the PolioPlus program’s inception in 1985.

Global Polio Eradication Initiative

Rotary paved the way for the formation of this initiative which was established in 1988.

1,000s of Rotarians

from around the world have volunteered for National Immunization Days to immunize children.

PolioPlus Helps Fund transportation, vaccine delivery, social mobilization, training, and more.

Eradicate Polio

Rotarians work to encourage governments to commit political and financial resources needed to eradicate polio.
Polio Global Eradication Initiative
The goal of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative is to complete the eradication and containment of all:
 
- Wild polio viruses
- Vaccine-related polio viruses
- Sabin polio viruses,
 
So that no child ever again suffers paralytic poliomyelitis.
