Paja at Haven Asian Eatery

Paja, one of our newest club members, presented with her Dad, Zha Blong Xiong, a U of M professor in the College of Education and Human Developments. Paja shared a brief history of Hmong people and then her Dad shared family stories of the "Secret War" (a covert military campaign led by the CIA from 1964 to 1973), and how he and his family escaped Laos to a refugee camp in Thailand before coming to the US as a refugee. We appreciated the stories after enjoying some authentic Laotian and Hmong foods at Haven Asian Eatery, Eden Prairie.
